Central America urgently needs to invest more on transport

Tuesday, April 23, 2019

Average investments in transport for Central America amount to about 1 percent of GDP but that will be far from enough for the period through 2030, according to the Un Economic Commission for Latin America, which suggests 2.2 percent.

Investment on transport between 2008 and 2015 indicated that Panama and Honduras were the top spenders in transport, while Costa Rica spent the least, El Periódico reports in Spanish.
