Central American exports dip sharply in second quarter

Central American exports fell by 3.4 percent year-on-year in the second quarter. Meanwhile, imports over the same period dropped by 4.1 percent.
Central America’s exports in the quarter totalled $14.4 billion, of which about one third was among the region’s nations themselves, and the rest for the remainder of the world, mainly the US and Europe.
