Central American exports drop in first quarter

Central American exports dropped 3.3 percent during the first three months of the year, according to the Central American Economic Integration System.

The figure represents exports worth $7.67 billion, compared to $7.93 billion from the same period last year.

The United States was still the region's top destination for exports, with 32 percent, or $2.46 billion.
