Central American exports surge by 6 percent

Central America's exports grew by 6.2 percent in the first five months of the year, the Secretariat of Central American Economic Integration reported.
Exports from January through May came to $13.1 billion.
The main recipients were the United States with $4.3 billion, Central America itself $3.1 billion, Europe $2.2 billon, and Mexico with $421 million.
