Central American food crisis is heading for long term

A crisis in food supplies has emerged in Central America as a result of loss of capacity to produce, international agencies have warned.

The UN Food and Agricultural Organization claims that the crisis will be long-term.

Meanwhile, food prices are rising all over the world, as investment funds increase their stakes in supplies.
