China and Panama to strengthen ties

The governments of China and Panama are working to strengthen bilateral trade, cultural and social ties.

The initiative was promoted by Panama's Foreign Minister Francisco Álvarez de Soto, and Wang Wihua, representative of the Chinese trade development office in Panama.

China is the second largest user of the Panama Canal, while Panama has been a platform for Asian brands into Latin America for 40 years.
