China and Panama touch base on railroad accord

Representatives of Panama's government and China Railway Design Corporation held their first technical meeting over a proposed rail project, linking Panama City with the northwestern province of Chiriqui on the border with Costa Rica.

The project is one of 22 cooperation agreements signed since the two countries established diplomatic ties.
