China in talks on trade bridgehead in Costa Rica

Costa Rica and China are in talks to create a special free trade zone between the two countries, said the Costa Rican minister of foreign trade, Anabel Gonzalez.

The aim is to create a platform for Chinese companies to boost their exports to Central America.

"We want to see more Chinese investment in Costa Rica, and we believe they can benefit from Costa Rica's strong human resources, strategic location and excellent business atmosphere", said Gonzalez.
