Claro and Movistar pledge to boost cellular coverage and services in Costa Rica

Claro and Movistar aim to work hard this year on increasing their presence in Costa Rica by improving cellular coverage and strenthening their range of products and services.

Both Mexico-based América Móvil's Claro and Movistar, of Spain's Telefónica, launched services in November, when coverage was patchy oiutside of the Central Valley.

The contracts permit both companies to establish three development stages that aim to cover most populated areas.
