Colombia and Panama aim to seal free-trade deal

Friday, April 13, 2012

Colombia and Panama have resolved to conclude talks on a free trade deal by "the middle of this year".

Both countries broke off talks on a deal in October of 2010. At that point they had negotiated 22 of the accord's 25 chapters, but were unable to agree on customs cooperation and access to markets.

Now, Panama says tha aim is to resolve all the pending issues by the middle of this year.
