Colombia boosts foreign investment

Colombian investment in other countries totalled $894 million in the first quarter this year, compared with the same period last year.

The figure is more than double that of the first quarter of 2013, when the figure reached $388 million, the country's central bank said.

The most dynamic sector in terms of investment was manufacturing, led by companies such as Grupo Nutresa, Cementos Argos, Grupo Aval and EPM.
