Colombia eyes $900 million China chicken-feet market

Colombia has found a potential market of about $900 million a year in chicken feet exports to China.

In 2010, China imposed taxes of up to 105 percent for American chicken feet, in retaliation for a similar tax on Chinese-made tires.

Some Latin American countries have taken advantage of this gap left by the United States and have introduced themselves to a market that pays up to $1,500 per ton.
