Colombia labor minister investigated for harassment

Wednesday, May 10, 2017

Colombia President Juan Manuel Santos inaugurated his new Labor Minister in spite of an ongoing investigation into alleged workplace harassment.

Incoming Labor Minister Griselda Yaneth Restrepo replaced Clara Lopez who resigned last week, allegedly to prepare herself for a 2018 presidential bid. However, Restrepo has been, of all things, investigated of workplace harassment by the Inspector General’s Office since 2015, according to Caracol Radio.
