Colombia moves towards Ocde membership
Colombia has been approved to start the process in becoming a member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
The process is set to officially start on October 24, when the government will sign a memorandum of understanding concerning its position on the OCDE's 250 legal instruments.
The process, expected to take years, will then focus on OCDE committees reviewing and making recommendations to the Colombian government's work on the 23 areas the OCDE works with, in order to make necessary adjustments to comply with the organization's regulations.
