Colombia removes Panama from tax haven list

 

The Colombian government has removed Panama from its list of tax havens, President Juan Manuel Santos said.

The move came after Panama agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding to share fiscal information.

On October 7, Colombia added Panama to its list of 41 tax havens after the Central American country failed to meet a deadline for the signing of a fiscal information sharing agreement.
