Colombia's foreign debt rises year-on-year in April

Colombia's foreign debt, measured in relation to gross economic output, rose slightly in April from the same month last year as private-sector debt climbed and public-sector debt declined.

Colombia's total foreign debt, which includes the government and the private sector, stood at 20.6 percent of gross domestic product in April, up from 20.5 percent in the same month a year earlier. The total foreign debt stood at $76.59 billion in March, up from $68.13 billion in the same month in 2011.
