Colombia's industrial production drops 2.4 percent

Colombia's industrial sector dropped 2.4 percent from January to October this year, compared to the same period a year before, according to an official report.

The report showed that 29 of the 44 industrial sub-sectors saw losses in their production, particularly cars, garments, paper and non-metallic minerals.

Among the 15 sectors which saw growth in the same period were food, transport, dairy products and oil refineries.
