Colombia seen growing 5 percent this year

The Colombian government is expecting the country's economy to grow 5 percent this year, according to President Juan Manuel Santos and Economy Minister Mauricio Cárdenas.

"Our goal is to grow 5 percent this year, and we hope to achieve it through investments in infrastructure," Santos said.

He added that in the first quarter this year, Colombia's construction sector grew 17 percent, boosting the country's economic growth to 6.4 percent.
