Colombia sees 40 percent growth in online sales

Colombians spent $1.4 billion in online shopping last year.

By the end of the year, online purchases are expected to increase 40 percent, or some $2 billion.

The most widely sold items in the online shopping sector in Colombia are plane tickets, discount coupons and technology.
