Colombia suffers a trade deficit in garments

In the first half of the year, Colombia imported 18 percent more clothing than it exported, and production was near stagnant, according to Inexmoda, the private-sector promotion agency.
According to the report. most of the imports came from China and Bangladesh, with which Colombia has no free trade agreement.
At the same time, the domestic industry produced only 0.1 percent more.
