Colombia takes a leap in the dark with referendum "No" vote

Colombia took a leap in the dark when 50.2 percent of voters opposed the recent peace accord between the government and FARC rebels. In a national referendum on the accord, the “Yes” vote was very narrowly defeated, at 49.7 percent.
Abstention reached about 60 percent. And apathy among voters combined with their lack of sympathy with the rebels.
