Companies in Costa Rica commit to gender equity

Twenty-one new businesses have agreed to participate in a gender equality and women’s economic empowerment program organized by the Costa Rican National Institute of Women with support from the United Nations Development Program.

The female employment rate in Costa Rica is 39.9 percent, while that of men is 68 percent, based on the Continuous Employment Survey for the first quarter of 2017.
