Companies in Nicaragua alleged to ignore law on labor rights and security

Many companies in Nicaragua are failing to observe Law 618 on health and security at work.

The problem is one of a lack of resources, said Elena Johana Sánchez, a legal services manager of the Deloitte consultancy.

The law has been in force since 2007, but implementation is only beginning.
