Concern in Costa Rica as minister quits

The resignation of Rocío Aguilar as Costa Rica's Finance minister has raised concern among the business community over the outlook for public-sector finances.

Efforts to reduce government spending -- including cuts in the generous bonuses in the public sector, the maintenance of tight fiscal control, and the future of the placement of Eurobonds that aims to lift the nation's rating in credit markets -- are now clouded in uncertainty, La República reports in Spanish.
