Contact centers on the wane in Guatemala
Contact centers and BPOs in Guatemala are failing to fulfill their promise. In 2017, they earned $720 million in exports, up from $600 million the following year.
A study from 2013 predicted that, by 2020, contact centers and NPOs would have about 100,000 jobs, so long as competitive business opportunities were to be maintained.
Right now the sector has a mere 45,000 jobs.
