Costa Rica and China see stronger business ties

The China-Latin America business summit, held this week in Costa Rica, is expected to generate some 1,500 business contacts, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The Central American nation's private sector welcomed China's openness to increase its imports from the region.

BIlateral trade between both countries reached $1.7 billion last year, of which only 18.7 percent were Costa Rican exports.
