Costa Rica and Panama pledge stronger economic ties

Costa Rica's president, Laura Chinchilla and her Panamanian counterpart, Ricardo Martinelli, promised to strengthen economic ties.

The two leaders met during the annual Expocomer International Fair in Panama City, a convention that promotes business, trade and investment.

The discussions centred on strengthening economic integration and promote tourism between the two countries.
