Costa Rica boosts business tourism efforts

Costa Rica is looking to become a bigger player in business and event tourism through a planned National Convention and Congress Centre.

The new centre is scheduled to be finished by June 2015, and will be in the Heredia district near the Juan Santamaría International Airport, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

Panama is Costa Rica's main competitor and the dominant player in Central America in business tourism.
