Costa Rica chamber rejects entering Petrocaribe

Costa Rica's chamber of commerce said it was opposed to the Central American country becoming a member of Venezuela-led oil group Petrocaribe.

Chamber representatives said becoming a member of the alliance would allow for Venezuela to interfere with State matters.

The chamber called on the government to consider alternative options to Petrocaribe, as the "small benefits it offers in oil prices would jeopardize Costa Rica's politics":
