Costa Rica-China free-trade agreement recommended for final approval by legislators

Costa Rica's Foreign Trade Ministry and the legislature's Special Permanent Committee agreed to recommend approval of the nation’s free-trade agreement with China.

The agreement will be debated on the floor of the Legislative Assembly.

Since 2000, Costa Rica trade with China has increased from $91.1 million to nearly $1.5 billion in 2009.
