Costa Rica 'dry canal' would cost $16 billion

 

The $16 billion project to link the Atlantic and Pacific by a land “bridge” across Costa Rica would reate thousands of jobs in construction and free zones if it turns out to be a success.

But an opposing view is that it is a fantasy, given the challenges involved, global competition and the complexity of the project.
