Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Pineapple exports from Costa Rica totaled $468 million during the first seven months of the year, representing a growth of 8.5 percent compared to the same period of 2011, said an official source.

China is one of the markets that Costa Rica is more interested in, especially with the free trade agreement in force, said Costa Rica's Foreign Trade Minister, Anabel González.

"During the first seven months of the year, product exports to China, where we send orange pulp, juice and fruit concentrates, among others, have grown 107 percent", said Gonzalez.
