Costa Rica-EFTA accord in force in Norway
A free trade agreement between Costa Rica and the European Free Trade Association, EFTA, came into force Tuesday in Norway, Costa Rica's Foreign Trade Minister, Alexander Mora, said.
He added that the accord will come into force with the remaining three EFTA members, beginning with Lichtenstein and Switzerland on August 29, and finally with Iceland on September 5.
The accord will eliminate tariffs on 98.7 percent of Costa Rican export products, and 93.3 percent on EFTA's imports to the Central American country.
