Costa Rica has $7.2 billion in credits that go unused

The Costa Rican government has $7.2 billion in foreign credits for public works that can be used immediately by the finance ministry but is not being used.

The money is pay highways, airport modernizations, sewerage in the capital, educational programs and plans to prevent violence.

$4.2 billion of the money is for direct investment. The rest is for concessions.
