Costa Rica is Millicom Central America bright spot

Along with slight falls in subscriber numbers, currency issues continue to affect Millicom’s Latin America operation, even though the region’s financial situation has stabilised.

By the end of Q3 2016, Millicom’s total revenue was down 2.8 percent compared to a year prior, mostly due to the performance of its Colombian and Central American operations. Figures are poorer in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, while Costa Rica’s business continues to grow.
