Costa Rica joins forces in drive to speak more English

In a country such as Costa Rica, which depends on tourism, exports and outsourcing, a good level of English is very important.

That is why the private and state sectors are joining forces in the Bilingual Alliance with the aim of raising English-speaking standards among the population at large, with the aim of creating more jobs and opportunities to study overseas.

The Education ministry and the National Learning Institute will be in charge of ensuring  high standards for the teachers of English.
