Costa Rica leads entrepreneurship

Ranked 43rd globally and fourth in Latin America, Costa Rica leads the Isthmus in entrepreneurship, according to “Systemic Conditions for Dynamic Ventures 2017”, published by Argentina’s Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento.

Costa Rica is in the “medium low” category, behind Brasil, Argentina and Mexico.

Among Latin American countries, only Chile is in the “medium” category.

Globally, Singapore leads the ranking, while Guatemala is last among 60 countries.

Conditions of demand, business structure, science, technology, entrepreneurial human capital, social conditions, and education, were evaluated in the ranking (numbers in brackets indicate the global position of each country; Honduras and Nicaragua were not included).
