Costa Rica leads talent competitiveness

In 39th spot globally, Costa Rica is the highest-ranked country in Central America in terms of ability to produce, attract and retain talent, according to The Global Talent Competitiveness Index 2018.
Only Chile, in 34th place, did better in Latin America.
Panama, which is two places above Costa Rica in the category of attracting talent from outside the country, is second in the isthmus in 48th spot.
Globally, Switzerland leads the ranking, while Madagascar is last.
The index analyzes the regulatory, market, and labour conditions in relation to vocational, technical and global knowledge skills in 118 countries (numbers in brackets indicate the global position of each country).
