Costa Rica opens embassy in Azerbaijan

Costa Rica’s Foreign minister Manuel Gonzales, who is on an official visit to Baku, announced the opening of an embassy in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov welcomed the decision to establish an embassy in the energy-rich former Soviet nation, bounded by the Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe.

Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan is keen on developing good political and economic relations with Latin American states, including Costa Rica.
