Costa Rica receives Chinese planes to fight crime

The Costa Rican Air Surveillance Service has received two new Harbin Aircraft Industries Group Y-12E Harbinger twin-turboprop light transport aircraft. The aircraft were both donated by China.

According to the Air Surveillance Service, the aircraft are to be used for combat operations against organised crime, humanitarian duties, and for emergency response.
