Costa Rica’s $1 billion mega-port faces storm

The tense calm that surrounded the plan for the construction of a huge container port at Moín on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast has been broken.

Within a week the project faced a storm of protests by an array of institutions that questioned the government tender.

In addition an old dispute that concerns the project was revived in the courts. The project is valued at $1 billion.
