Costa Rica's exports drop 3.6 percent

Costa Rica's exports dropped 3.6 percent in the first two months of the year, according to the country's trade promotion agency, Procomer.

Total exports reached $1.79 billion, compared with the $1.85 billion for the same period last year.

A combination of factors such as a slowdown in the economies where Costa Rica sends its goods, and agricultural plagues contributed to the drop, Procomer said.
