Costa Rica's fiscal woes reduce hopes of joining OECD

The current Costa Rican government is about to leave office without having achieved its goal of joining the OECD, having achieved only 12 of the 22 requisites for membership.

The principal requisites are the m most difficult.

And of them, the deterioration of the fiscal performance is one of the biggest.
