Costa Rica's industry to grow 3 percent next year

Costa Rica's industrial sector is expecting to grow some 3 percent next year, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

While the sector saw growth in the free trade zones this year, it was insufficient to recover the 4,000 jobs lost in the first months of the year.

The country's industry chamber has asked the government for more involvement and to make changes, such as eliminate unnecessary procedures and control tariffs, in order to boost the sector.
