Costa Rica's insurance sector is promising

Costa Rica's insurance sector is currently worth $894 million, but still has opportunities for growth, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

About 72 percent of the country's homes and cars are estimated to be without voluntary insurance policies.

Health and accident insurance policies dominate 46 percent of the market.
