Costa Rica's San Ramon highway project to start soon

A long-awaited highway project in Costa Rica is set to start soon after an new proposal brought down the cost of the project from $523 million to $478 million, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The project was originally given to Autopistas del Valle, but after seven years of being stalled due to financial and technical issues, the project was handed to Brazil's OAS.

The project includes the expansion of 52 kilometers of the route, bridges and the construction of pedestrian crossings.
