Costa Rica's Sardimar changes name to comply with new microwave product line

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Costa Rican company Sardimar has changed its name to Alimentos Prosalud in an attempt to expand its business.

The company's aim is to expand its range of products to also include non-seafood, which is why it launched its Badesi brand, a range of microwave-ready dishes.

The expansion of its range will not affect its primary business of tuna, which represents 95 percent of its business, said Shirley Romero, the company's communication director.
