Costa Rica's Tico Air faces end

Costa Rican airline Tico Air could disappear if it fails to present its international flight permits, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

The carrier had planned to begin operations in December last year, but has faced several setbacks in getting the permits for international flights, as well as a leasing contract for its planes.

Some four other carriers in the country have had to end their operations in the past decade, due to lack of permits or equipment.
