Costa Rica seeks 100,000 medical tourists this year
Costa Rica is looking to invest in a strategy aimed at attracting 100,000 medical tourists this year, Costa Rican daily La República reported.
Last year, only 48,000 medical tourists visited the country, as the government failed to promote the industry which creates 20,000 jobs.
In order to achieve this year's goal, the government plans to create a website where it will highlight the best medical centers, as well as carry out marketing campaigns.
