Costa Rica seeks support from UN against Nicaragua
Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla has traveled to the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York to ask for support against Nicaragua, Costa Rican daily La República reported.
Nicaragua started building two canals in an area near Costa Rica banned by the International Court of Justice until a solution to the conflict has been found.
But experts say it would be difficult to find support, as currently the UN is dealing with major conflicts in Syria and other parts of Africa.
